Singing and acting lessons in Pascoe Vale, Melbourne
One-to-one coaching for every age and every level — from people who’ve never sung in front of anyone, to actors preparing for professional auditions. Ten minutes from Coburg, Brunswick and Moonee Ponds.
Never had a lesson before? Good.
Most people who walk into the studio for the first time are a bit nervous. Some haven’t sung in front of another person since school. Some have been told, once, by someone who should have known better, that they can’t sing.
That’s the most common place to start, and it’s a fine place to start.
Lessons are one-to-one, so nobody is watching, nothing is compared, and the pace is yours. You pick what you want to work on and what you want to sing. Phoebe brings the technique.
Lessons for everyone
Students range from 2 to 65. In practice that’s four rather different kinds of people, and the lessons look different for each.
Kids and teens
Building confidence, learning to use the voice safely while it’s still changing, preparing for school productions, eisteddfods and exams.
Adult beginners
The “I’ve always wanted to but never had lessons” crowd. No performance required, ever, if you don’t want to.
Serious young performers
Repertoire, technique and audition preparation for students heading towards VCE performance, tertiary auditions or professional work.
Working actors and singers
Audition preparation, self-tapes, accent work, and keeping the voice in shape.
What we work on
Eight specialisations, and you can combine them — plenty of students split a lesson between singing and acting, or move between them term to term. Audition prep, self-tape and accent work draw students from right across Melbourne.

Taught by Phoebe Robertson
Phoebe is a classically trained singer and performing arts graduate with four years of teaching behind her and students aged 2 to 65.
She trained in Whangārei, New Zealand, from the age of seven, holds a Trinity College London Advanced Certificate in Singing with Distinction, and graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts from the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art in 2020. She spent two years touring schools across New Zealand and Australia with New Zealand Playhouse before settling in Melbourne.
The teaching approach is classical technique — the kind that keeps a voice healthy for decades — applied to whatever music you actually want to sing.
What students say
“Phoebe was just amazing, she was able to ease his anxiety straight away and he learnt great techniques even in the trial lesson.”
“Her classical training ensures that you get training in safe and correct voice control which you can then adapt to any style.”
“I found Phoebe to be so warm and encouraging, she immediately put me at ease.”
